- Sehwag said that during the Australia tour in 2008, the then Indian captain MS Dhoni dropped him from the playing eleven because, in Dhoni’s view, he used to focus on fielding rather than batting. He said that if every person saves even five runs, then fifty runs will be saved. However, at that time, Virendra Sehbag used to bat very brilliantly and with the highest strike rate. After this, he wanted to retire from ODI cricket. Sehwag also revealed that it was Sachin Tendulkar who stopped him from retiring from One Day Internationals.
